# Calculators :: Radical expressions :: Simplifying radical expressions

The following calculator can be used to simplify **ANY** radical expression.

** To use it, replace radical sign with letter r **.

Example 1: to simplify $(\sqrt{2}-1)(\sqrt{2}+1)$
type **(r2 - 1)(r2 + 1)**.

Example 2: to simplify
$\left( \frac{2}{\sqrt{3} - 1} + \frac{3}{\sqrt{3}-2} + \frac{15}{3- \sqrt{3}}\right)\cdot \frac{1}{5+\sqrt{3}}$
type
**(2/(r3 - 1) + 3/(r3-2) + 15/(3-r3))(1/(5+r3))**.
