To find $P(A \text{ and } B)$ we use multiplication rule:
$$\color{blue}{P(A ~|~ B) = \frac{ P(A \text{ and } B)}{P(B)}}$$In this example we have:
$$ \begin{aligned} P(A ~|~ B) &= \frac{ P(A \text{ and } B)}{P(B)} \\ 0.52 &= \frac{ P(A \text{ and } B) }{ 0.5 } \\ P(A \text{ and } B) &= 0.52 \cdot 0.5 \\ P(A \text{ and } B) &= 0.26 \end{aligned}$$
